I've always liked the image of a cat looking out the window. So I drew and cut out my own cardboard stencil of a cat. I played around with it and I think it will be just enough to spur some children on to doing their own versions.
I had to stop myself from doing more!
I used the stencil, and some parchment paper for the curtains. Not sure if the landscape really worked out but it was worth a try!
Some kids like to have the cat facing this way, too. That's a nice thing about a silhouette stencil, it leaves a bit of room for interpretation.
Love them............ going to do some more animals! This kind of shape works lovely with strips cut from magazines or gift paper as you can see above.
