Butter Squishy Toy

 Make Your Own!!

Today I made a paper butter squishy toy with a student. It's a very recent model given to us by the very popular DDany Crafts found on youtube here

Materials you will need are a printer for the template, a balloon if you opt for that model (you can make it without) and tape and something to fill your squishy. We used thin plastic bags (like produce is packed in) or polyester filling. I don't recommend cotton face tissues or other similar filling for this particular model since it's famous for being 'slow rising'. This is achieved with some kind of plastic such as the thin bags or polyester cushion filling.

We made the model in 40 minutes. The part with a balloon which pops out a hole when you squeeze was a little challenging, but with a few tries and tweaks we got it to work beautifully!
You can see a photo of a nearly finished model along with the kind of bag which works great and many of us have in our kitchens! We also covered ours with tape so it wouldn't tear, but that's optional.

So grab your templates and make some Butter Squishies! There are different colors and options to choose from! Here's the link!! There are photos there too!
